Widish

our little widget app with the big day of week text.

Finally a widget app for those of us who need our glasses or simply can’t remember what day it is – or both! The Day of week shows in really large text – in your preferred language. Widish allows for customized day color, background color and over 50 fonts (for most languages, Arabic, Chinese, Korean & Japanese will only render 3 fonts, but you can try before your buy) Simply install the widget and pick your choice of fonts or colors. Or do nothing, and let the app rotate the colors daily for you. New to widgets? A short video on installing widgets is included.

Read Your Bible 2

an alternate day reading plan, through the Bible in 52 weeks

Another Widget App! Designed to take you through the Bible in 52 weeks, reading alternately from the Old Testament and New Testament. When you run out of New Testament, you’ll be reading through the Prophets exclusively. So take a deep breath and engage!

Now updated with chapter summaries so you can see what you are reading throughout the week. Simply tap on the Daily Reading displayed within the App and it will bring up the weekly readings with the chapter summaries.

Or go through to the Settings, (three lines at right on top) and you can scroll through the entire list of Old Testament/New Testament chapter summaries.

Read Your Bible apps do not include a Bible. Just install the Widget – we prefer the weekly (medium widget) – and tap on it once a week to update the readings. The small widget (daily) requires that you tap on it once a day to get the readings. Either way, you have a reminder right on your phone or iPad that quickly shows you what you’re reading.

The Bible is the world’s best selling book. For good reason. C’mon, let’s go!

Read Your Bible

Our latest app.

Read Your Bible is a Widget app that enables you to read through the Bible within 52 weeks. Based on Michael Coley’s unique method of parsing the Bible into 7 different categories, you’ll be reading out of a different book each day. The categories include: Epistles, The Law, History, Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy & Gospels. You can install a small widget, which you can tap on to get your daily reading, or a medium widget, which you can use to get the week’s readings at a glance. Tapping on a widget will bring you directly into the app, or you can just use the app itself to view the readings. (Hint: tap on the daily reading to bring up your weekly readings.) You may also restart your start date, or select a custom date to begin your readings at a week other than week one. It’s best to start on a Sunday, but start anytime to become familiar with the world’s best-selling book. This app does not include a Bible.

Poly Cipher

Cryptography is the science of writing messages that no one except the intended receiver can read. Cryptanalysis is the science of reading them anyway.” (Missler, Cosmic Codes pg. 5)

Vigenère’s poly alphabetic substitution cipher, attributed to him around 1553, was considered unbreakable for centuries. It’s based on work devised by Giovan Battista & Leon Battista Alberti. Alberti is the understated father of modern cryptology. Polyalphabetic Ciphers can now be easily cracked by the NSA or FBI. But the amazing thing is that they were cracked in 1863 by Friedrich Kasiski. Check out his book “Secret writing and the Art of Deciphering”. It’s not surprising the Germans came up with the Enigma machine.
